In the primary sedimentation basin of this sewage plant, a kind of rake, the "scraper", pushes the wastewater deposits on the bottom of the basin. Up to now, the scraper has been supplied with power via a cable drum. This solution has always been susceptible to problems, however, and the cable lay unprotected on the bottom after it had been unrolled and was liable to become twisted. The use of micro flizz® has put an end to these problems. The closed igus® system guides an e-chain® in which the cable cannot become twisted and which protects it from soiling by leaves etc.
